Acceptance of terms

By downloading or using Movvie (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

What Movvie is

Movvie is a free movie-discovery app for iPhone. It helps you find films, keep a watchlist, see where titles can be streamed, rented or bought in your region, and match on a movie with others in join-code Rooms. Movvie does not host, stream or sell any movies.

Movie data and availability

Movie information, artwork, ratings and trailers are supplied by The Movie Database (TMDB); streaming availability is provided via TMDB in partnership with JustWatch. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Availability, pricing and content ratings are provided as-is and can change without notice — always confirm with the streaming service before subscribing or purchasing.

Content ratings and audience modes

Movvie’s Kids, Family and Grown-ups modes filter titles using certifications from official ratings boards. These filters are a convenience, not a guarantee: ratings data can be incomplete or wrong at the source. Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising what children watch.

Rooms

Rooms are shared spaces joined by code. You agree to choose a display name that is not offensive, impersonating or unlawful. Anyone with a room’s code can join it and see the room’s display names, votes and matches, so share codes only with people you want in the room.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App — including attempting to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it beyond what the law permits, or use it in violation of any applicable law or of Apple’s App Store terms.

Intellectual property

The Movvie name, icon and design are ours. Movie titles, artwork and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are displayed via TMDB for informational purposes.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Movvie is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on availability or ratings data.

Changes

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
